A little after 9, the full band took the stage at Tim Finnegan’s Irish Pub. They opened with their hit single “One Time (Ms. Gadway)”. Next, came came another track from their upcoming (Self Titled) EP, the hard rocking “In The Night”.

As the night went on The Glides played all of their original favorites, and covered classics from guitar legends such as “The Wind Cries Mary” and “Fire”  by Jimi Hendrix and “Cocaine” by Eric Clapton.

They gave an energetic rendition of “I Feel Good” by “The King of Soul” James Brown, and ended the first set with “Blo Diddley”.

A highlight of the night, was The Glides cover of “Stray Cat Strut” by The Stray Cats, a shout-out to guitarist Mark Harrison’s previous band The Downtown Dramatics.

The Glides rocked on until almost midnight, not even stopping when the schedule for the night “said that it was time to take a break”. The night ended the way that it began, with a reprise of the band’s biggest hit, “One Time (Ms. Gadway).

You can hear The Glides new single “Lullaby” from their (Self Titled) EP streaming live on SoundCloud. While you are there, check out the studio remastered EP mix of “One Time (Ms. Gadway)”.
